With Waiheke Island only a 35 minute ferry ride away, staying in Auckland city is a great option for our guests with plenty of accommodation available. The Fullers360 passenger ferry departs from Auckland city to Waiheke Island regularly (we recommend catching the 2pm ferry across on the big day!), with the final ferry from Waiheke Island back to Auckland city departing Matiatia ferry terminal at 12:30am. Our buses will depart Mudbrick at the end of the festivities at 12am, to make sure guests staying in Auckland arrive at the ferry terminal in plenty of time to catch the last ferry back to the city.
Visit Tourism Auckland's website for more information about places to stay and things to see and do in Auckland!
For ultimate convenience (with ocean views!) we definitely encourage you to stay on the island! We recommend guests stay in and around the main village of Oneroa including the suburbs of Matiatia, Little Oneroa, Blackpool, Church Bay, Surfdale, Palm Beach, and Ostend (see map below) which are only a few minutes drive from Mudbrick.
The Island has a bunch of accommodation options from studios, suites and cabins for two, right through to cottages and holiday homes for families and larger groups. Check out Air Bnb, Booking.com and Stayz to find an accommodation option that suits you. You can also find more properties online at Waiheke Local, Waiheke Unlimited, Waiheke Holiday Homes and Be My Guest Waiheke.
Mudbrick also offers a range of accommodation including their onsite Luxury Cottages (perfect if you just want to stumble to bed at the end of the night!), their Vintage Cottage in Oneroa and their Settler's Hut in Oneroa.
